Kayam Natural Forest, Brgy. Pagatpatan, Butuan City

A place to consider in Butuan City is the natural and unique Kayam Forest in Brgy. Pagatpatan. Believed to be rich in deposited natural gas and minerals along the riverine part of the lower Agusan River. Unique forest throughout the country since this is, I think, the only place I know that the area is primarily dominated by Kayam Tree. The mature fruit upon cooking is edible(Rich in fiber) and sold to the local market of Butuan, which mark as one of the delicacies of the Butuanon Tribe. Known also as unique habitat to many flora and fauna.
